​The Project Rebound Coordinator provides and collaboratively coordinates retention services such as academic and personal guidance by providing specialized coaching and referrals. These retention services will focus on the unique needs of formerly incarcerated and system-impacted students at CSUSM, therefore requiring detailed understanding of the needs of a specialized student population. Develops and implements intervention and support system strategies for students experiencing life circumstances resulting from their backgrounds. Develops new strategies/systems to be used campus-wide to provide ongoing student support. Independently assesses student needs using personal interviews and designs appropriate interventions. Works with Personalized Academic Success Services as well as other departments on campus, such as Admissions, Counseling Services, Student Outreach and Referral Services, the CARE Manager, and the Career Center to provide support for students. Coordinates special activities as needed.
