We are looking for a dynamic candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) and at least two (2) years experience in nonprofit management and program implementation. A demonstrated interest in juvenile justice reform is highly preferred. MCCD is a private not-for-profit organization working to advance policies and practices that reduce confinement and support trauma-informed, racially equitable, socio-economically and culturally responsive, community-based solutions for Michigan’s justice-involved children, youth and young adults.

  • Manage human relations activities for agency.

​The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Justice Fund (YJF). S/he reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. S/he guides YJF’s vision, shapes and implements policies and manages its operations. The executive director ensures that YJF is fiscally sound and that its internal and external communications, advocacy, outreach, programs and fund development meets its current and emerging needs. S/he will also have an understanding of criminal justice reform, needs, priorities, initiatives and strategies at both the state and national level. S/he will be working with the board to develop a new paradigm of holistic support. As a member of YJF’s leadership team, s/he reports directly to, and work closely with YJF’s Board of Directors.

A social justice education advocacy organization seeks a full-time programs manager to serve on the organization’s leadership team, oversee our evidence-based mentoring program and youth leadership work, participate in our public policy work, oversee volunteer coordination, and serve as a mentor to a small caseload of students. Our team is committed to elevating youth and family voice, serving as role models, collaborating with the schools, providing trauma-informed care, ending school pushout practices, persisting through ups and downs, and asking reflective questions to help students and staff problem-solve and come up with their own solutions. Our staff is committed to ongoing learning about other cultures, reducing power imbalances, dismantling oppressive behaviors that show up in ourselves and systems, and working in partnership with those whose voices too often go unheard. A minimum of a two-year commitment is required.​
